Minneapolis, where the death of George Floyd took place, is getting more police officers. Earlier this month the city council approved of a $6.4 million package for the police department. In an ironic twist, the city that launched the ‘defund the police’ movement across the country is returning to the principle of law and order. In the past 8 months, the city has learned a bitter lesson after conducting a failed experiment in police reform.
