In 2018, Michael Bloomberg spent more than $4 million on TV ads opposing Rep. Dana Rohrabacher in California. Rohrabacher lost his 30-year congressional seat. What will happen this year? Michelle Steel, a Republican candidate for Congress, thinks it’s going to be different this time around. In 2020, California is having a wave of Asian American Republican women running for congressional seats. Their unique message to the voters is common sense. Ahead of the November elections, I interviewed Orange County Supervisor Michelle Steel, a South Korean immigrant running for congress in California’s 48th district. We discussed what’s really at stake in this election season and if an ever polarizing America is headed for socialism.
